Instead of fighting something new, unique, it was very much more of the same - mainly Aetherials, while the story didnt really develop much and is hard to get excited about to begin with.
In that way, the Addon of Grim Dawn (Ashes of Malmouth) disappointed me a bit. The Backstory if Grim Dawn simply doesn't stand a lot of chance against all the great Greek, Orient, Egypt and Germanic/Viking Mythology. While in Grim Dawn, you fight mainly fight Aetherials and Cthonics and some other less present groups, Titan Quest has way more different monster types, settings, and Themes. And while i'm missing shrines and a lot of great Grim Dawn features, as well as not being able to really go in depth with the character, one thing in my eyes was better: Now i decided to replay Titan Quest as there is a new Addon Out for some reason. The item system, the skill system, so much new stuff that is simply awesome. I've played tons of Grim Dawn lately, as i liked Titan Quest a good 10 years ago, and i wasn't disappointed. Released in 2016, it currently has two expansions: Ashes of Malmouth and Forgotten Gods.
