This issue appears to strike at random with no computers being invulnerable to it (Even here in the IT department the issue has happened a couple of times). With-in ten minutes or a restart, the documents reappear and everything is fine again. Their documents also disappear from their "My Documents" folder.Įven when using the File Explorer to drive directly to the affect user's files on the file server from the affected user login and computer shows that they have all disappeared. We have been having an issue where users on Windows 7 computers will suddenly have their desktop icons become greyed out and have an "X" appear in the lower right-hand corner of each one.
