One area that is definitely lacking is the lack of information provided by hovering on things. The UI is actually growing on me a bit, but there are a few minor things that I wouldn't mind being touched on. The UI is fine and all the Information they’ve added in the map overlays is a fantastic trade off for the settlement UI being significantly different. No, what’s happened is that CA moved your cheese so y’all are going to reflexively complain. Are y’all all coming from Rome 2 where entire provinces had less building variety than a single city in Rome 1? I’m not sure why anyone playing a total war game would expect the number of UI panels to be less than what we’ve got. Now you could argue that multiple paths to the same function is a problem but meh, that’s getting too much into the philosophy of UI psychology. There are even convenient buttons to reach the same actions from different areas of the UI, so you can context switch more efficiently. If you have any patience at all you’ll find what you’re looking for. It’s not simple, but there are giant buttons that open and close stuff all over the place.
